CREATURES 2020-2021
The CREATURES Project, a Community Creative Project was launched as a pilot creative arts support online group project run over the first 6 months of the Covid-19 lockdowns. Following this initial phase the CREATURES Project, a Community Creative Multi-Media Production, was created in the aftermath of the Covid-19 lockdowns in Byron Bay, NSW, Australia. This collaborative project involved Young Visual Artists, The Byron Youth Theater, and electronic music artists who joined forces to present a multimedia showcase featuring visual arts, installation, animation, sculptural works, projection, light, electronic music, and soundscapes.
The CREATURES multimedia arts production and public presentation project delved into the realms of myth, stories, and creatures. Young and emerging artists explored the spaces that creatures occupy in our imaginations, folklore, and society. Through the metaphor of CREATURES, they addressed meaningful themes, current issues, and challenges impacting the lives of young people.
